Washington's account
Canada sells America far more than it buys, keeps American milk and chickens out with tariffs of two and three hundred percent, taxes American technology firms, lets drugs and migrants cross the border, and spends almost nothing on a defence America provides. It has lived off the United States for generations. Tariffs bring the factories back and make Canada pay its way. If Canadians dislike the terms, statehood is open to them and would cost them nothing in tariffs.
