Explosions and drone attacks reported in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

A series of explosions and drone attacks were reported in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Videos showed drones impacting the center of Dubai, and air defense systems were heard intercepting targets. Debris from intercepted drones fell on residential areas, injuring at least two people, including a woman and a child.

In a separate incident near Oman, a US-sanctioned oil tanker was hit, injuring four crew members. In Abu Dhabi, one person died and seven were injured in an incident at the airport. The attacks caused significant disruption, with hundreds of travelers, including a large group of Italian students, stranded and reporting feeling abandoned as flights were affected.

Authorities have not provided detailed statements on the perpetrators or a timeline for when normal operations will resume for those stranded.
