Iran-backed groups claim attacks on US military aircraft and bases

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and allied Iraqi militia groups have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting US military assets. They state they have downed a US Air Force KC-135 tanker aircraft in western Iraq and damaged the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, while also launching missiles at US bases. US officials have denied the claim about the aircraft being shot down.
