Trump meets with world leaders at Davos forum amid trade and alliance tensions

President Donald Trump is attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he is holding a series of meetings with other world leaders. He is scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the sidelines of the event.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who is also at Davos, has publicly criticized Trump's recent threats to impose tariffs on European allies, calling the idea "absurd." Macron has also proposed a future G7 summit meeting that would include Russia. Separately, the Kremlin confirmed that its officials held talks with the U.S. delegation in Davos.
