Taiwan Holds Annual Han Kuang War Games

Taiwan held its annual Han Kuang military exercises in August 2026, turning cities into simulated battlefields amid pressure from China. During the drills, Taiwan's leader was rushed away at night in an armored vehicle to escape a mock decapitation strike. Taiwan also scrambled French-made jets in rapid turnaround drills. The exercises focused on defending against a potential attack on the island's leadership.
