Egypt's El-Sisi Urges African Trade Integration and Value Chains

In October 2026, Egypt's President El-Sisi called for faster trade integration across Africa and for the continent to move from exporting raw materials to building integrated value chains. He also urged more funding for post-conflict reconstruction and reform of the global financial system. Separately, Egypt's Abdelatty met with the head of BADEA to discuss expanding investment cooperation across Africa.
