Explosions and air defense activity reported in Tehran

Multiple explosions were reported in central Tehran, including near a university street and the Jomhouri area. Iranian state media reported that air defense systems were engaging hostile targets over the city.

Iranian authorities sent text messages urging some residents to leave Tehran. Official sources stated that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was in a safe location outside the capital. Three members of the IRGC, who were part of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's security team, were reported killed in the attack.
