Shell declares force majeure on Qatari LNG contracts after shutdown

Shell has declared force majeure to clients who purchase liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar, citing a shutdown in supply. The declaration suspends contractual obligations due to circumstances beyond Shell's control. TotalEnergies has also reportedly issued a similar force majeure notice.
