Erdogan Says Egypt May Join Mecca Pact, Plans Syria Visit

Turkish President Erdogan said Egypt could join the Turkiye-Saudi-Pakistan defence pact known as the Mecca Pact, and that Egypt has pledged continued support for Gaza. He also said he intends to visit Syria soon and that reopening the Strait of Hormuz is a priority. Erdogan added that EU membership is no longer a priority for Turkiye.
