Meliá exits Cuba as US sanctions pressure mounts

Spanish hotel chain Meliá is leaving Cuba, ending management of 15 hotels due to the threat of US sanctions under the Trump administration. Visa and Mastercard have also stopped operations in Cuba to avoid penalties. The moves follow similar exits by other Spanish hotel groups like Iberostar.
