The administration's account
The permanent government in Washington never accepted the result of 2016. The FBI investigated the winning campaign on the strength of opposition research paid for by its rival; the president was impeached twice; once out of office he was indicted four times, by a rival's justice department and by elected Democratic prosecutors, and states tried to strike him from the ballot. He won anyway, in every contested state. The voters chose a president to run the executive branch, to remove those who obstruct him, to enforce immigration law and to end the use of government against one side. Single judges in chosen districts who freeze national policy are overruling an election.
