• Frequent use of distancing verbs and critical framing around Trump administration actions
• Selection highlights controversies, legal challenges, and negative polling for the administration
• Occasional neutral or even sympathetic coverage of individual officials (e.g., Homan, Graham) complicates the overall stance
• Focus on internal conflicts and critiques from former officials and opponents

The entity is 'US' as a country, but coverage overwhelmingly centers on the Trump administration, which is treated skeptically. Some headlines (e.g., #2, #15) are neutral or even favorable to specific officials, and #22 reports a threat to Trump without editorializing. The negative stance is primarily toward the administration, not the nation as a whole.

• Frames Trump's actions as reactive or problematic (e.g., 'seething', 'stuck', 'risk igniting')
• Uses distancing or critical framing in headlines about his statements and policies
• Highlights controversies, legal judgments, and internal dissent
• Occasionally neutral or even positive on specific events (e.g., NATO fanfare, Air Force One)

Some headlines are neutral or even favorable (e.g., #9, #18), and several focus on administration actions rather than Trump personally. The negative stance is driven by critical framing of his decisions and controversies, not by uniformly hostile language.

• Frequent use of honorifics and personal framing ('Senator Graham', 'Lindsey Graham')
• Emphasis on his legacy, effectiveness, and dedication ('spent every single day trying to make America a safer country', 'so good and so effective')
• Focus on his death and succession with respectful, even laudatory language
• Quotes from colleagues and officials that praise his work and character

Headlines 1 and 4 quote Graham's own controversial statement about Iran war, but the outlet reports it as factual news without evaluative framing; the overall bundle treats Graham as a respected figure whose death is mourned and whose legislative efforts are honored. The stance is positive but not celebratory to the level of +2, as some headlines are neutral or focus on succession politics.

• Uses distancing verbs like 'alleges' and 'denies' for the rape accusation
• Frames Platner as 'embattled' and under pressure from allies
• Emphasizes his withdrawal and the scramble to replace him
• Reports his actions with neutral-to-critical framing, not celebratory

The outlet does not use overtly hostile language like 'brutal' or 'regime,' but consistently highlights the allegations and his political downfall, treating him as a liability. The rape accusation is reported with balanced attribution, yet the overall selection (pressure, withdrawal, replacement) skews negative toward Platner. His own quoted statements are given some space, but the framing is skeptical rather than sympathetic.
