Chinese companies take control of Sony's TV business and challenge Amazon online

Sony is handing over control of its Bravia television and audio business to the Chinese electronics giant TCL. The deal gives TCL a controlling stake in the operation.

Separately, the Chinese-owned online marketplace Temu has reached a level of global sales that puts it on par with Amazon in the cross-border e-commerce sector.
