Houthis Claim Attack on Saudi Base as Fighting Flares in Yemen

Yemen's Houthi movement said it attacked a Saudi military base, while also reporting that Saudi Arabia carried out more than 50 strikes against Houthi positions in 24 hours. The Houthis said the attack was in response to the Saudi bombardments in Yemen. The renewed fighting comes as the Houthis advance toward the Bab el-Mandeb strait, a key shipping route. The Houthis are an Iran-backed group that has been fighting Yemen's internationally recognized government and a Saudi-led coalition for years.
