Israel and Iran exchange strikes as conflict escalates

The Israeli military, the IDF, says it bombed weapons factories in Tehran during overnight strikes. It also intercepted ballistic missiles fired by Iran at the southern city of Eilat, with no injuries reported. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated the war against Iran is 'continuing with full force' and that a buffer zone in Lebanon will be expanded.

In response, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has carried out multiple waves of retaliation, striking over 70 Israeli targets and hitting a US warplane in Iranian airspace. The Israeli government has authorized the IDF to call up to 400,000 reservists amid the conflicts with Iran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah.
