US and Iran exchange fire on ships in Gulf of Oman

The US military's Central Command (CENTCOM) says it sank the oil tanker MT Kylo in the Gulf of Oman as fighting with Iran escalates. CENTCOM also says it has redirected 92 ships since resuming a naval blockade of Iran. Iran is reported to have fired on a US Navy ship trying to enter the Strait of Hormuz, which the US disputes. Both sides have attacked each other's vessels.
