EU faces criticism for shifting back to nuclear energy policy

The European Union is facing criticism from experts and politicians for a policy shift back toward nuclear energy. German expert Quaschning and politician Schneider have both accused the EU of a backward-looking strategy, while EU Commission President von der Leyen has called moving away from nuclear power a mistake.
