U.S.-Iran talks in Pakistan end without a deal

Talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, Pakistan, have concluded without an agreement. The negotiations, which reportedly lasted about 21 hours, ended after just one day.

U.S. official Vance stated that the talks failed because Iran chose not to accept the conditions presented by the U.S. side. From the Iranian side, Ghalibaf was quoted saying "We don't trust them," indicating a significant lack of confidence between the parties.

The outcome means no deal was reached on ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Vance suggested that this failure is worse news for Iran than it is for the United States.
