Google to buy Spirit Airlines business data for US$10mil

In the United States, on 18 August 2026, Google agreed to buy the business data of Spirit Airlines for $10 million. CNN wrote that Google is buying all of the airline's data to feed its AI models, and German outlets described Spirit as a failed, insolvent US airline.
