ICE faces scrutiny over tactics, detention plans, and arrests

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is under scrutiny for its enforcement tactics. Reports detail agents allegedly breaking rules by using less-lethal weapons against protesters and defying court orders during arrests in Minneapolis. The agency also announced plans to detain up to 8,500 immigrants in a large warehouse facility.

In other actions, ICE reported arresting over 400 people it identified as child sex offenders during a specific period and collaborated with Mexican authorities to arrest a Gulf Cartel figure. Meanwhile, a major detention center faces possible closure after controversy, and a mariachi-playing family was released from ICE custody.
