American journalist Shelly Kittleson, who was kidnapped in Iraq, has been released. An Iraqi official and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio confirmed that the Iran-backed armed group Kataib Hezbollah freed her.
Kittleson had been held in a militia stronghold and was believed to be alive before her release. The group is one of several Iraqi factions backed by Iran.
