Saudi Arabia cuts oil production as Hormuz Strait closure disrupts exports

Saudi Arabia has begun reducing oil output at multiple fields as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has choked off export routes and filled storage. State oil company Saudi Aramco is offering crude in rare spot tenders due to the disruption. The production cuts come as traffic through the critical waterway has collapsed, reportedly due to conflict involving Iran.
