IAEA helps solve Zaporizhzhia plant problems, says Rosatom chief

Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev said the town of Energodar is as important for the security of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) as the plant's own infrastructure. He stated that any silence about attacks on the ZNPP encourages escalation, and that the plant switched to backup power 21 times due to Ukrainian military strikes. Likhachev also noted that IAEA staff personally participated in demining the plant's territory and that a significant portion of the plant's problems have been resolved thanks to IAEA missions.
