South Korea and France upgrade partnership during Macron's state visit

South Korean President Lee and French President Macron held a summit in Seoul to strengthen bilateral ties. They agreed to elevate their relationship to a "global strategic partnership" and pledged joint cooperation on issues including Middle East energy security and the Strait of Hormuz.
