Japan's Global Hawk Drone Presumed Crashed in Sea of Japan

A Japanese Self-Defense Forces Global Hawk unmanned aircraft went missing and is presumed to have crashed in the Sea of Japan after communications failed. The SDF is searching the area for the lost drone. The loss of the surveillance aircraft could hurt Japan's defense capabilities. Separately, reports said infected USB drives used by the defense forces had been procured improperly, and Japan is considering raising defense spending to 3.5 percent of GDP after U.S. pressure.
