Ukrainian drone attacks kill eight in Russia, wound dozens

On July 18, 2026, Ukrainian drone attacks struck several regions in Russia, including the Moscow area. At least eight people were killed and more than 60 wounded, according to Russian authorities. The drones targeted warehouses and oil sites, including an oil depot in the Moscow region, where a fire broke out.

The attacks hit logistics hubs and energy infrastructure deep inside Russia. Seven warehouse workers were among the dead. The strikes mark one of the larger cross-border drone operations by Ukraine since the war began.
