Trump threatens 200% tariffs on French wine to pressure Macron

President Donald Trump has threatened to impose a 200% tariff on French wine and champagne. He made the threat in an effort to pressure French President Emmanuel Macron to join a proposed 'Board of Peace' initiative, which appears to be related to Gaza.

Trump framed the tariff threat as leverage, stating he would use it if Macron refused to participate. The 'Board of Peace' is a concept Trump has promoted, though its specific structure and mandate are not detailed in these reports.
