AI pioneer Yann LeCun raises over $1 billion for new startup

Yann LeCun, a former Meta AI chief and AI pioneer, has raised over $1 billion for his new startup Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI). The funding round, described as Europe's largest seed round, will support the development of AI systems that understand the physical world. The French-based company aims to create an alternative approach to current AI models like ChatGPT.
