Japanese opposition parties agree to join new political coalition

Three Japanese opposition parties — the Constitutional Democratic Party, Komeito, and the Centrist Reform Alliance — have agreed to participate in a new political coalition called the National Conference. Komeito's leader expressed openness to fully integrating with the Centrist Reform Alliance, though merging local assembly members before unified elections appears difficult. The Democratic Party for the People also indicated its intention to join the coalition.
