ICE Agent Charged in Minneapolis Shooting, Jailed

An ICE agent was arrested in Minneapolis and charged with assault and falsely reporting a crime in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a Venezuelan immigrant. The agent was taken into custody after an extradition standoff in Texas and appeared in a Minnesota court, where bail was set. ICE has also dismissed agents hired during its rapid expansion after background-check problems were detected.
