Putin Pushes BRICS Grain Trade and Payments to Counter Sanctions

Russian President Putin called for expanded grain trade and new insurance and payment arrangements among BRICS countries to counter external restrictions. The Kremlin said key payment provisions sought by Russia were included in the BRICS declaration. Putin stated that BRICS economies are developing independently of outside pressure and that trade between the bloc's members has reached 1.2 trillion dollars. He also said BRICS is driving global economic growth.
