Trump-backed candidates oust Senator who voted to impeach

Republican Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana lost his primary election after voting to convict Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial. Trump endorsed opponents in the race, and two of them advanced to a runoff, effectively ending Cassidy's Senate career.
