US and Iran send envoys to Pakistan for possible nuclear talks

The United States and Iran are both sending envoys to Pakistan, raising speculation about a possible resumption of nuclear talks. US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are heading to Islamabad, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is also visiting Pakistan. The White House has claimed that Iran wants in-person talks, but Tehran has denied this, saying no direct discussions with US delegates are planned during Araghchi's visit.

Pakistan's Chief of Defence Staff, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, met with Iran's Araghchi amid the diplomatic activity. The exact agenda remains uncertain, as Iran insists it will not hold direct talks with the US in Pakistan, even though both sides are present in the same country at the same time.
