Pope Leo XIV to visit Argentina in November

Pope Leo XIV will visit Uruguay, Argentina and Peru in November, the Vatican said in early August 2026. French outlets give the dates of the trip as November 6 to 17. In Argentina, La Nación reports the visit runs from November 8 to 11, with stops in Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Luján.

La Nación wrote that the pope's agenda of social justice and political harmony clashes with the priorities of Javier Milei. Clarín wrote that Francis did not come, but Leo XIV will bring the same message to Argentina.
