Azerbaijan Reports Strong Trade and Energy Growth in 2026

Azerbaijan reported a nearly sixfold increase in its foreign trade surplus for January to July 2026. Revenues from oil product exports more than doubled, while exports of petroleum bitumen and petroleum coke surged. The country also earned nearly $16 million from electricity exports and imported 596 electric vehicles during the same period. Motor gasoline production rose, and budget revenues from privatization were revealed.
