Typhoon Saudel and Flash Floods Hit China and Nepal

Typhoon Saudel made its third landfall along China's east coast, hitting Fujian province and prompting school and ferry route suspensions. Flash floods in China destroyed a three-story building and left 2,500 people stranded inside a school. In Nepal and China, flash floods have killed 1,280 people, with over 5,620 missing as search and rescue efforts enter their second week. China has mounted a multi-pronged rescue operation after a deadly mudslide.
