Montenegro Denies EU Migrant Center as Balkans Mark Operation Storm Anniversary

Montenegro's Prime Minister Spajić said on August 4, 2026, that there will be no center in Montenegro for receiving migrants from EU countries. Serbia and Croatia marked the 31st anniversary of the Krajina offensive, known as Operation Storm, in opposing ways. Serbian President Vučić said official Montenegro is taking part in the celebration of Operation Storm and sent no one to Mrkonjić Grad, thanking the Montenegrin government. A message from Bosnia said Vučić has learned that the Drina is a border, while Serbia responded that it is not and never will be a border for the Serbian people.
