Macbook, iPad price hike: Why has Apple increased its product prices by 70k? | India News

In late June 2026 (26 June), Apple raised prices for Macs, iPads and HomePod in India, with increases of up to around 70,000 rupees on some MacBook and iPad models. Microsoft also raised prices, including for Xbox consoles. Rising memory chip costs were cited in connection with the increases.

Prices for MacBooks and iPads also rose by about 20% in Vietnam, and Japanese outlets put the increase for iPads and Macs at 20 to 30%. Asian tech stocks fell, with Japan's Nikkei and Topix in the red on worries about memory costs.
