Houthis kill dozens of Saudi-backed Yemeni govt forces: medical sources

In Yemen on 6 August 2026, Houthi drone and missile attacks killed dozens of troops of the Saudi-backed Yemeni government. The Yemeni government confirmed at least 30 troops killed, while TRT World reported 58.

Houthi attacks also hit southern Saudi Arabia, wounding 11 civilians, according to the Saudi-led coalition. The kingdom warned of a wider threat. A source told Al Arabiya that the Houthis and Iraqi militias coordinated on the attack on Saudi Arabia.
