China Marks Five Years of Global Development Initiative at UN

China will host a dialogue at the United Nations on September 25 marking the fifth anniversary of its Global Development Initiative. The initiative, launched by Xi Jinping, is described as turning the UN's development goals into action and delivering tangible progress over five years. Separately, Xi chaired a Politburo meeting, and a Central Committee plenum was set for October 26-29.
