US Defence Secretary Hegseth Visits Singapore, Backs Trump's India-Pakistan Ceasefire Claim

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth visited Singapore and backed President Trump's claim of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He described India as a critical anchor in the Indo-Pacific and said it must act in its own self-interest, pointing to China's military buildup. Hegseth also said India will help maintain US Navy vessels in the region and credited Trump with the India-Pakistan peace. He stressed that no single country should achieve hegemony in the Indo-Pacific.
