Iran tightens grip on Strait of Hormuz with checkpoints and fees

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy reports that 26 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the last day under its coordination. The country is consolidating control over the strategic waterway by setting up island checkpoints, striking diplomatic deals, and sometimes charging fees.
