Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have a clear action plan to move forward - President Ilham Aliyev

On August 23, 2026, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan during the Azerbaijani president's visit to Uzbekistan. Azerbaijan awarded the Uzbek president the Heydar Aliyev Order. Aliyev said the two countries have a clear action plan to move forward, and that Uzbekistan was the first country to provide practical assistance in Karabakh's reconstruction.
