Pakistan Pushes for US-Iran Talks in Islamabad as Iran Threatens Boycott

Pakistan is intensifying diplomatic efforts to ensure a second round of US-Iran talks goes ahead in Islamabad on Tuesday. Naqvi met with US and Iranian envoys to discuss preparations for the talks. However, Iran has rejected the second round, citing ceasefire violations and what it calls unreasonable and unrealistic US demands, and is planning to boycott the negotiations. An Iranian delegation is still expected to arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday.
