Multiple countries pledge troops and training for Gaza security forces

Several nations have announced plans to contribute personnel and training to a new security force for the Gaza Strip. Indonesia says it is ready to send 8,000 troops, and Turkey and other countries have also committed forces. Egypt's Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, stated Egypt is committed to training Palestinian forces and empowering a new National Committee for Gaza.

Separately, the head of Gaza's technocratic committee said 5,000 police officers are to be deployed in the Strip. These announcements come amid ongoing military activity, with the IDF reporting it destroyed Hamas tunnels in Gaza and confirming a war cemetery was damaged during a combat operation.
