Kyrgyz expert: SCO Summit in Bishkek is highly important amid geopolitical changes

On 31 August 2026, leaders arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for the SCO summit. PM Shehbaz began a three-day visit, and Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, also arrived. Pezeshkian arrived and called for expanded Iran-Kyrgyzstan cooperation. A Kyrgyz expert said the summit is highly important amid geopolitical changes.
