South Korea's defense minister said North Korea is estimated to hold between 80 and 120 nuclear warheads. This figure is far higher than the 57 nuclear weapons cited by US President Donald Trump. The two estimates differ sharply, with Seoul's assessment roughly double Trump's number. The statements were reported on August 20, 2026.
