BRICS Leaders Meet in Delhi and Adopt Declaration

BRICS leaders met in New Delhi, India, in September 2026 as wars and tensions with the United States tested the bloc. Negotiators worked late into the evening to reach consensus on the Delhi Declaration, which India pushed to keep from turning BRICS into a geopolitical bloc.
