Russian missile and drone attacks have again targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leaving nearly half of the capital, Kyiv, without heating and power. The strikes hit during a winter cold snap, cutting heat to thousands of residential buildings and also affecting the Ukrainian parliament building.
Officials described the bombardment as part of Russia's ongoing campaign to batter Ukraine's power grid. The attacks come as diplomatic efforts, including U.S.-led peace talks, are reportedly being sought.
