Russian strikes kill dozens in Ukraine as air defenses run low

In early August 2026, Russian air attacks killed at least 17 people in Ukraine, with strikes reported in the Kherson region and elsewhere. Ukrainian officials said the country is running low on interceptor missiles and cannot stop all incoming Russian missiles, including ballistic ones.
